Course Operation and Proper Maintenance – Excavator

A professional course providing operators with in-depth knowledge and practical tools for operating and maintaining a hydraulic excavator at the operator level. The course combines theoretical learning and practical training, aiming to improve profitability by increasing productivity, reducing expenses, and maintaining a high safety standard.

Course Objectives

• Deepening knowledge in hydraulic excavator operation and maintenance.
• Improving productivity and reducing operating costs.
• Providing tools for proper operation of attachments.
• Strengthening safety principles when working with excavators.

Study Program

Part A – Theory:

• Structure of the hydraulic excavator.
• Warning systems.
• Engine and hydraulic system.
• Daily maintenance at operator level.
• Methods for proper hydraulic excavator operation.
• Proper operation of attachments: hammer, grapple.
• Safety in hydraulic excavator operation.

Part B – Practical:

• Personal practice at the client’s work site.
• Proper maintenance and operation of the excavator.
• Applying the learned material during routine work.

Course Format

• Scope: 18 learning hours – Part A: 16 hours (4 sessions of 4 hours), Part B: 2 hours of individual practical training at the client’s site.
• Location: Part A – Zoko Academy Holon (other options: Haifa, Hadera, Jerusalem, Be’er Sheva). Part B – at the client’s work site.
• Evaluation: Theoretical exam and individual practical test.
• Certificate: Graduation certificate awarded by Zoko Academy.
