Course HME Maintenance (Ministry of Economy)
A professional training course in the format of “class with placement,” in cooperation between Zoko Academy and the Training and Human Resource Development Division of the Ministry of Economy. The course provides comprehensive training in heavy mechanical equipment (HME) maintenance, combining theoretical studies, practical training, and professional job placement upon completion.
Target Audience
Adults aged 18 and above, IDF veterans or unemployed individuals, interested in acquiring a profession in the field of heavy mechanical equipment maintenance.
Admission Requirements
- At least 10 years of schooling.
- Basic English proficiency.
- Passing entrance exams.
- Preference given to candidates with prior technical background.
Course Objectives
- Providing theoretical and practical knowledge in HME maintenance.
- Training technicians for integration into the heavy equipment industry labor market.
- Developing professional skills in accordance with Ministry of Economy and HME industry standards.
Course Format
- Scope: Approx. 600 learning hours, over about 4 months.
- Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, from 08:00–16:00 (subject to changes as required).

- Evaluation: Full attendance and success in theoretical and practical exams during and at the end of the course.
- Certificate: Joint graduation certificate awarded by Zoko Academy and the Training and Human Resource Development Division of the Ministry of Economy – “HME Maintenance”.
Special Notes
- During the course, participants may be eligible for unemployment benefits depending on their personal eligibility with the National Insurance Institute.
